Sañjaya said: And Arjuna, the mighty son of Indra, met that shower of arrows with a counter-shower of his own, cutting Bhagadattta’s missile-rain to pieces before it could even reach him—showing disciplined mastery in battle rather than reckless fury.

Educational Q&A

Even amid violence, excellence is shown through restraint and precision: Arjuna neutralizes danger before it reaches him, embodying disciplined kṣatriya conduct—skill guided by control rather than rage.

Bhagadatta releases a heavy barrage of arrows at Arjuna. Arjuna answers with his own arrow-shower and shatters Bhagadatta’s missiles mid-flight, preventing them from reaching his position.
