एष चास्त्रप्रतीघातं वासुदेव: प्रयुक्तवान्‌ अन्यथा विहित: संख्ये वध: शत्रोर्जनाधिप,'जनेश्वर! श्रीकृष्णने इस अस्त्रके निवारणका उपाय बता दिया है और उसका प्रयोग किया है; अन्यथा आज युद्धमें सम्पूर्ण शत्रुओंका वध हो ही गया होता

Transliteration

eṣa cāstrapratīghātaṃ vāsudevaḥ prayuktavān; anyathā vihitaḥ saṅkhye vadhaḥ śatror janādhipa, janeśvara!

Translation

Sañjaya said: Vāsudeva has applied the countermeasure to repel this weapon. Otherwise, O king, O lord of men, in today’s battle the destruction ordained for the enemy would indeed have been fully accomplished. The moment underscores how strategic restraint and timely intervention can avert total annihilation even when victory seems fated.
