Sañjaya said: “Therefore, while he looks on, I shall put his army to flight. Having scattered them all, I will then slay that vile Pañcāla alone.” The utterance frames a warrior’s resolve not merely to defeat an opposing force but to humiliate its leader through the spectacle of rout, revealing how anger and contempt can eclipse restraint amid the ethics of war.
