पाज्चाल्यायाभिसंक्रुद्धमन्तकायान्तकोपमम् । चोदितो वासुदेवेन भीमसेनो महाबल:
pāñcālyāyābhisaṁkruddham antakāyāntakopamam | codito vāsudevena bhīmaseno mahābalaḥ ||
Sañjaya said: Urged on by Vāsudeva, the mighty Bhīmasena—enraged against the Pāñcālī’s foe—advanced like Death itself, resembling the very slayer of Death. The verse underscores how righteous fury, when directed toward protecting the violated and upholding justice, becomes a formidable force on the battlefield.

The verse highlights that anger becomes ethically meaningful when harnessed in service of dharma—defending the wronged and restoring justice—especially when guided by wise or divine counsel (here, Vāsudeva).
Sañjaya describes Bhīma, prompted by Kṛṣṇa, surging forward in battle with overwhelming fury against the adversary connected to Pāñcālī (Draupadī), his power likened to Death itself.
