उभयेनैव ते हीना नाविन्दन् धृतिमात्मन: । इस लोकमें पराजय और परलोकमें महान् भय पाकर दोनों ही लोकोंसे वंचित हो वे अपने भीतर धैर्य न धारण कर सके
ubhayenaiva te hīnā nāvindan dhṛtim ātmanaḥ |
Sañjaya said: Deprived in both ways, they could not find steadiness within themselves. Having met defeat in this world and great fear regarding the next, they were cut off from both realms and failed to sustain inner courage.
