त्रस्तान् कुन्तीसुतान् दृष्टवा द्रोणसायकपीडितान् । मतिमान् श्रेयसे युक्त: केशवो<र्जुनमब्रवीत्,कुन्तीके पुत्रोंको द्रोणाचार्यके बाणोंसे पीड़ित एवं भयभीत देखकर उनके कल्याणमें लगे हुए बुद्धिमान् भगवान् श्रीकृष्णने अर्जुनसे इस प्रकार कहा--
trastān kuntīsutān dṛṣṭvā droṇasāyakapīḍitān | matimān śreyase yuktaḥ keśavo 'rjunam abravīt ||
Sañjaya said: Seeing the sons of Kuntī shaken with fear and tormented by Droṇa’s arrows, the wise Keśava—ever intent on their welfare—spoke to Arjuna. The moment frames Kṛṣṇa’s role as a discerning guide who responds to crisis not with panic, but with counsel aimed at the righteous good amid the violence of war.
