इति तेषां वच: श्रुत्वा भीमसेनवचश्न तत्‌ । धृष्टय्युम्नं च सम्प्रेक्ष्य रणे स विमना5भवत्‌,उन ऋषियोंकी यह बात सुनकर, भीमसेनके कथनपर विचार कर और रणभूमिमें धृष्टद्यम्नको सामने देखकर आचार्य द्रोणका मन उदास हो गया

Transliteration

iti teṣāṃ vacaḥ śrutvā bhīmasenavacaś ca tat | dhṛṣṭadyumnaṃ ca samprekṣya raṇe sa vimanābhavat ||

Translation

Sañjaya said: Hearing those sages’ words, reflecting as well on Bhīmasena’s statement, and seeing Dhṛṣṭadyumna before him on the battlefield, Ācārya Droṇa’s heart grew heavy and downcast. In that moment, the clash of duty and foreboding—spoken counsel, a warrior’s warning, and the visible agent of fate—darkened his resolve amid the demands of war.
