इत्येवं व्यक्तमा भाष्य प्रतिभाष्य च सात्यकि:
ityevaṁ vyaktamā bhāṣya pratibhāṣya ca sātyakiḥ
Sañjaya said: Having thus spoken clearly, and having replied in turn, Sātyaki (addressed the matter further). The line underscores the ethical weight of frank speech and responsible rebuttal amid the pressures of war—words are offered plainly, and answers are given without evasion.

Even in warfare, speech should be clear and accountable: one should state one’s position plainly (vyaktam) and respond directly (pratibhāṣya), avoiding evasiveness or deceit.
Sañjaya narrates that Sātyaki has spoken clearly and then offered a counter-response, marking a turn in the exchange before the action continues.
