Sañjaya said: O King, O bull among the Bharatas, a single, overwhelming roar arose—reaching up to the very sky—the combined sound of conches, kettledrums and mṛdaṅgas, the trumpeting of mighty elephants in their fury, and the sharp twang of bows being stretched and drawn.
