चुक्रुशुनेंदमस्तीति द्रोणद्रौणिकृपादय: । तत्‌ कर्म दृष्टवा सम्भ्रान्ता हैडिम्बस्य रणाजिरे,समरांगणमें हिडिम्बाकुमार घटोत्कवका वह अलौकिक कर्म देखकर घबराये हुए द्रोणाचार्य, अश्वत्थामा और कृपाचार्य आदि चिल्ला-चिल्लाकर कहने लगे कि “अब हमारी यह सेना नहीं बचेगी”

Transliteration

sañjaya uvāca |

cuśruśur na idam astīti droṇa-drauṇi-kṛpādayaḥ |

tat karma dṛṣṭvā sambhrāntā haiḍimbasya raṇājire ||

Translation

Sanjaya said: Seeing that extraordinary deed of the Haiḍimba (Ghaṭotkaca) on the battlefield, Droṇa, Drauṇi (Aśvatthāmā), Kṛpa and the others, shaken with alarm, cried out again and again, “Now this (army of ours) will not survive.”
