“अतः तुम इस निशीथकालमें कर्णके साथ द्वैरथ युद्ध करो और महारथी सात्यकि तुम्हारे पृष्ठरक्षक होंगे ।। जहि कर्ण रणे शूरं सात्वतेन सहायवान् । यथेन्द्रस्तारकं पूर्व स्कन्देन सह जध्निवान्
jahi karṇaṃ raṇe śūraṃ sātvatena sahāyavān | yathendras tārakaṃ pūrvaṃ skandena saha jaghnivān ||
Sañjaya said: “Therefore, slay the heroic Karṇa in battle, supported by the Sātvata (Sātyaki) as your ally—just as Indra once slew Tāraka in former times together with Skanda. Let Sātyaki guard your rear while you engage Karṇa in this critical hour.”
