नारायणास्त्र-शमनं द्रौणि-प्रहारश्च

Pacification of the Nārāyaṇāstra and Drauni’s Renewed Assault

रथानां च रणे राजन्नन्योन्यमभिधावताम्‌

rathānāṃ ca raṇe rājann anyonyam abhidhāvatām

Sañjaya said: “O King, in the thick of battle, as the chariots charged straight at one another…,” indicating the escalating intensity and mutual, headlong engagement of the warriors’ forces.
