अमोघशक्तिव्यंसनप्रश्नः — Why Karṇa’s Śakti Was Not Used on Arjuna
तत: कर्णस्य मिषतो द्रौणेर्दुयोधनस्य च । कृपस्य सोमदत्तस्य बाह्लीकस्य च पाण्डव:,तदनन्तर कर्ण, अश्वत्थामा, दुर्योधन, कृपाचार्य, सोमदत्त और बाह्लीकके देखते-देखते शत्रुदमन पाण्डुपुत्र भीमने वीर दुर्मद और दुष्कर्णके उस रथको लात मारकर धरतीमें धँसा दिया
tataḥ karṇasya miṣato drauṇer duryodhanasya ca | kṛpasya somadattasya bāhlīkasya ca pāṇḍavaḥ ||
Sañjaya said: Then, while Karṇa, Aśvatthāmā (son of Droṇa), Duryodhana, Kṛpa, Somadatta, and Bāhlīka looked on, the Pāṇḍava—Bhīma, the subduer of foes—struck down the chariot of the warriors Durmada and Duṣkarṇa, forcing it to sink into the earth. The scene underscores the brutal momentum of battle, where prowess and fate swiftly overturn even those protected by powerful witnesses.
