Why Karṇa’s Śakti Was Not Used on Arjuna

Sañjaya said: Then Durmada mounted the chariot of Duṣkarṇa. Those two brothers—scorchers of their foes—riding together on a single chariot, charged toward Bhīmasena at the very mouth of battle, like Varuṇa and Mitra once assailed the demon Tāraka. The passage underscores the warlike resolve and fraternal solidarity that drive combatants to seek glory through direct confrontation, even as such valor is bound to the destructive momentum of the battlefield.
