(Alaṃbala-vadhaḥ) / The Slaying of Alaṃbala and the Advance toward Karṇa
taṁ samāruhya śaineyas tava sainyam upādravat | dāruko 'pi yathākāmaṁ prayayau keśavāntikam ||
Sañjaya said: Mounting him, Śaineya (Sātyaki) charged against your army. Dāruka too, as he wished, went to Keśava (Kṛṣṇa). The verse underscores swift, purposeful action in war: the warrior advances to his chosen duty on the field, while the charioteer moves to the rightful commander—each fulfilling role and allegiance amid the moral pressure of battle.
