Sañjaya said: He had a chariot made ready, fully equipped with the materials and supplies required for battle and furnished with many weapons. When it moved, it produced a deep roar like thunderclouds. Then Dāruka’s younger brother brought that chariot to Sātyaki.
संजय उवाच
The verse underscores disciplined readiness in a righteous cause: effective action in war requires proper preparation and appropriate means, not mere impulse. It also highlights coordinated service—support roles (bringing and equipping the chariot) are essential to a warrior’s duty.
A battle-chariot is fully outfitted with war supplies and many weapons; it thunders like a cloud when it moves. Dāruka’s younger brother then delivers this chariot to Sātyaki, indicating Sātyaki’s imminent engagement in the fighting.
