Educational Q&A

The verse underscores disciplined readiness in a righteous cause: effective action in war requires proper preparation and appropriate means, not mere impulse. It also highlights coordinated service—support roles (bringing and equipping the chariot) are essential to a warrior’s duty.

A battle-chariot is fully outfitted with war supplies and many weapons; it thunders like a cloud when it moves. Dāruka’s younger brother then delivers this chariot to Sātyaki, indicating Sātyaki’s imminent engagement in the fighting.
