Chapter 148: Karṇa’s Pressure, Dhṛṣṭadyumna Unhorsed, and the Summoning of Ghaṭotkaca
एवमस्त्विति बी भत्सु: केशवं प्रत्यभाषत । ततो$5सृजत् तम: कृष्ण: सूर्यस्यावरणं प्रति
evam astv iti bībhatsuḥ keśavaṁ pratyabhāṣata | tato 'sṛjat tamaḥ kṛṣṇaḥ sūryasyāvaraṇaṁ prati ||
Sañjaya said: “So be it,” replied Bībhatsu (Arjuna) to Keśava (Kṛṣṇa). Thereupon Kṛṣṇa released a veil of darkness, as though to cover the sun—an act meant to shape the course of battle by strategic concealment rather than by open force alone, raising the ethical tension between righteous intent and deceptive means in war.
