अद्य कृष्णश्ष पार्थश्व॒ धर्मराजश्न माधव । हते त्वयि निरुत्साहा रण त्यक्ष्यन्त्यसंशयम्‌,“माधव! आज तुम्हारे मारे जानेपर श्रीकृष्ण, अर्जुन और धर्मराज युधिष्ठिर उत्साहशून्य हो युद्ध बंद कर देंगे, इसमें संशय नहीं है

sañjaya uvāca | adya kṛṣṇaś ca pārthaś ca dharmarājaś ca mādhava | hate tvayi nirutsāhā raṇaṁ tyakṣyanty asaṁśayam ||

Sañjaya said: “Mādhava, if you are slain today, Kṛṣṇa, Arjuna (Pārtha), and King Yudhiṣṭhira (Dharmarāja) will surely lose all resolve and abandon the battle. Of this there is no doubt.”
