अजेया: पाण्डवास्तात देवैरपि सवासवै: । नच तद् बुध्यते मन्द: पुत्रो दुर्योधनो मम,तात! इन्द्र आदि देवताओंके लिये भी पाण्डवोंपर विजय पाना असम्भव है; परंतु मेरा मूर्ख पुत्र दुर्योधन इस बातको नहीं समझता है
sañjaya uvāca |
ajeyāḥ pāṇḍavās tāta devair api savāsavaiḥ |
na ca tad budhyate mandaḥ putro duryodhano mama ||
Sañjaya said: “O dear father, the Pāṇḍavas are unconquerable—even by the gods, even with Indra at their head. Yet my dull-witted son Duryodhana does not understand this.”
