द्रोणस्तु सत्वरो राजन क्षिप्तो भीमेन संयुगे । रथमन्यं समारुहा व्यूहद्वारं ययौ पुन:,राजन! उस युद्धस्थलमें भीमसेनद्वारा फेंके गये आचार्य द्रोण तुरंत ही दूसरे रथपर आरूढ़ हो पुनः व्यूहके द्वारपर जा पहुँचे
droṇas tu satvaro rājan kṣipto bhīmena saṁyuge | ratham anyaṁ samāruhya vyūhadvāraṁ yayau punaḥ ||
Sañjaya said: O King, when Bhīma hurled Droṇa down in the thick of battle, the preceptor—swift to recover—mounted another chariot at once and again made for the entrance of the battle-formation. The verse underscores Droṇa’s unbroken resolve and professional warrior-discipline, even as the scene reflects the relentless, escalating pressure of dharma-conflicted warfare.
संजय उवाच
Even amid humiliation or sudden setback, a warrior-leader is expected to regain composure and return to duty without delay; the verse highlights steadiness, discipline, and strategic focus in the harsh moral atmosphere of war.
Bhīma forcefully throws Droṇa during the fight; Droṇa quickly mounts a different chariot and returns to the entrance of the battle-formation, indicating his intent to reassert control and continue directing the engagement.
