द्रोणपर्व — अध्याय 128: दुर्योधनस्य परसेनाप्रवेशः
Duryodhana’s Incursion and the Tumult of Battle
दृष्टवा कुशलिनौ कृष्णौ सात्वतं चैव सात्यकिम् । संविदं चैव कुर्यास्त्वं सिंहनादेन पाण्डव
dṛṣṭvā kuśalinau kṛṣṇau sātvatam caiva sātyakim | saṃvidaṃ caiva kuryāstvaṃ siṃhanādena pāṇḍava ||
Sañjaya said: “When you see Kṛṣṇa and the Vṛṣṇi hero Sātyaki safe and well, O Pāṇḍava, you should also exchange words with them—and proclaim it with a lion-like shout.”

Even amid war, right action depends on clear communication and reaffirmed alliances: confirming the safety of key leaders (Kṛṣṇa, Sātyaki) and openly signaling confidence (the lion-roar) sustains collective resolve and coordinated dharmic effort.
Sañjaya reports an instruction directed to a Pāṇḍava: upon seeing Kṛṣṇa and the Vṛṣṇi warrior Sātyaki unharmed, he should confer with them and then announce it with a triumphant lion-like shout—an act meant to strengthen morale and coordination on the battlefield.
