परित्यजति वार्ष्णेयं सात्यकिं सत्यविक्रमम्‌ । “सब लोग यही कहेंगे कि धर्मपुत्र युधिष्ठिर अपने भाईकी खोज करके वृष्णिवंशी वीर सत्यपराक्रमी सात्यकिकी उपेक्षा कर रहे हैं

Transliteration

parityajati vārṣṇeyaṃ sātyakiṃ satyavikramam |

Translation

Sañjaya said: “(People will say that) Dharmaputra Yudhiṣṭhira, in searching for his brother, is neglecting Sātyaki—the Vṛṣṇi hero of unfailing, proven valor.” The remark highlights the ethical tension between loyalty to one’s kin and the duty to honor and rely upon steadfast allies in the midst of war.
