Droṇa-parva Adhyāya 114 — Karṇa–Bhīmasena Missile Exchange, Disarmament, and Arjuna’s Intervention
एतावदुक्त्वा भीम॑ तु विसृज्य च महायशा:
etāvad uktvā bhīmaṁ tu visṛjya ca mahāyaśāḥ
Sañjaya said: Having spoken only this much, the greatly renowned one then released Bhīma and let him go—ending the exchange with restraint amid the violence of war.
संजय उवाच
Even in a battlefield narrative, the verse highlights a moment of restraint: after speaking briefly, the famed warrior chooses to release Bhīma, suggesting controlled action rather than unchecked aggression.
Sañjaya reports that a renowned figure, after saying a few words, lets Bhīma go—marking the close of a brief encounter or admonition and moving the story forward.
