Sañjaya said: O best of the Bharatas, when your warriors saw the mighty lord of the Rākṣasas slain—Alambuṣa, fallen like a shattered mountain—they and all their forces broke into cries of terror and lamentation. The death of such a formidable champion shook the morale of the Kaurava host and revealed how swiftly pride in brute strength collapses amid the ethical gravity of war.

Even extraordinary physical power and fearsome reputation cannot secure stability in an unrighteous war; when a key champion falls, collective confidence collapses, reminding listeners that strength without dharmic grounding is fragile.
Sañjaya reports to Dhṛtarāṣṭra that the mighty Rākṣasa leader Alambuṣa has been slain; seeing him fallen like a broken mountain, the Kaurava warriors and their entire host cry out in alarm and grief.
