तदुदीर्ण महत् सैन्यं त्रैलोक्यस्यापि संजय । भयमुत्पादयेत् तीव्रं पाण्डवानां महात्मनाम्,संजय! महात्मा पाण्डवोंकी वह विशाल एवं प्रचण्ड सेना तो तीनों लोकोंके हृदयमें तीव्र भय उत्पन्न कर सकती है
tad udīrṇaṁ mahat sainyaṁ trailokyasyāpi sañjaya | bhayam utpādayet tīvraṁ pāṇḍavānāṁ mahātmanām, sañjaya ||
Vaiśampāyana said: “That vast host, once roused, O Sañjaya, could stir intense fear even in the three worlds—how much more so in the hearts of the high-souled Pāṇḍavas.” The verse underscores the moral weight of war: when armies swell and passions are inflamed, fear spreads beyond the battlefield, testing the steadiness and dharma of even the noblest.
