दृष्टवा च पाण्डवो भ्रातृन् युध्यमानान् महारथान् | त्वरितो भरतश्रेष्ठ तत्रायुध्यत् किरञ्छरान्,भरतश्रेष्ठ! पाण्डुनन्दन अर्जुन अपने महारथी भाइयोंको युद्ध करते देख स्वयं भी बाणोंकी वर्षा करते हुए तुरंत ही युद्धमें प्रवृत्त हो गये
dṛṣṭvā ca pāṇḍavo bhrātṝn yudhyamānān mahārathān | tvarito bharataśreṣṭha tatrāyudhyat kirañ charān ||
Sañjaya said: Seeing his brothers—those great chariot-warriors—already engaged in battle, Arjuna, the son of Pāṇḍu, hastened forward, O best of the Bharatas, and there fought at once, showering arrows. The moment underscores a warrior’s duty to stand with one’s kin in a righteous struggle, meeting violence with disciplined resolve rather than hesitation.
संजय उवाच
The verse highlights kṣatriya-dharma: when one’s rightful side is engaged in a just battle, a warrior should not remain passive. Arjuna’s swift entry signifies disciplined courage and solidarity with his brothers, acting from duty rather than fear or indecision.
Sañjaya reports to Dhṛtarāṣṭra that Arjuna sees his brothers—mighty chariot-warriors—already fighting. He immediately hastens into the fray and begins combat, releasing a rapid shower of arrows.
