भीष्मस्य भीमसेन-निरोधः

बल॑ तपश्न सत्यं च कर्म धर्मात्मकं तव । तेजोडग्नि: पवन: श्वास आपस्ते स्वेदसम्भवा:,तप और सत्य आपका बल है तथा धर्म और कर्म आपका स्वरूप है। अग्नि आपका तेज, वायु साँस और जल पसीना है
balaṁ tapaś ca satyaṁ ca karma dharmātmakaṁ tava | tejo 'gnir pavanaḥ śvāsa āpas te svedasambhavāḥ ||
Bhīṣma said: “Austerity and truth are your strength, and dharma and righteous action are your very nature. Your radiance is fire; your breath is the wind; and the waters are born from your sweat.” In this praise, Bhīṣma portrays the addressed figure as the living embodiment of moral power—where inner discipline (tapas) and truth (satya) become the source of real strength, and even the elements are described as expressions of that ethical-spiritual being.
