भीष्मस्य भीमसेन-निरोधः
Bhīṣma checks Bhīmasena; matched engagements intensify
पादौ तव धरा देवी दिशो बाहू दिवं शिर: । मूर्तिस्ते5हं सुरा: कायश्नन्द्रादित्यौ च चक्षुषी,पृथ्वीदेवी आपके चरण हैं, दिशाएँ बाहु हैं और द्युलोक मस्तक है। मैं ब्रह्मा आपका शरीर, देवता अंग-प्रत्यंग और चन्द्रमा तथा सूर्य नेत्र हैं
pādau tava dharā devī diśo bāhū divaṁ śiraḥ | mūrtis te ’haṁ surāḥ kāyaś candrādityau ca cakṣuṣī ||
Bhīṣma said: “O Lord, the Earth-goddess is Your feet; the directions are Your arms; and heaven is Your head. I am Your embodied form; the gods are Your limbs and members; and the Moon and the Sun are Your two eyes.” In this vision, the cosmos is understood as a single moral and sacred body, inviting reverence, humility, and responsibility in the midst of war.
