भीष्मस्य भीमसेन-निरोधः
Bhīṣma checks Bhīmasena; matched engagements intensify
पुरा किल सुरा: सर्वे ऋषयश्न समागता: । पितामहमुपासेदु: पर्वते गन्धमादने,पहलेकी बात है, समस्त देवता और महर्षि गन्धमादन पर्वतपर आकर पितामह ब्रह्माजीके पास बैठे
purā kila surāḥ sarve ṛṣayaś ca samāgatāḥ | pitāmaham upāseduḥ parvate gandhamādane ||
Bhīṣma said: Long ago, all the gods and the great seers assembled together. They approached and attended upon Pitāmaha Brahmā on Mount Gandhamādana—seeking his presence and guidance in a matter of sacred importance.
