Sañjaya said: Vāsudeva, with his discus raised in hand, appeared as though he would roll up and dissolve the entire world. Leaping forward, that teacher of the worlds blazed like a comet, as if he were about to burn all beings to ashes—an awe-inspiring vision of divine power poised to enforce righteousness amid the chaos of war.

The verse highlights that divine power is not mere spectacle: it stands ready to uphold dharma when moral order is threatened. Kṛṣṇa’s raised discus symbolizes decisive, righteous intervention—an ethical warning that adharma can provoke overwhelming consequences.
Sañjaya narrates Kṛṣṇa’s sudden, blazing advance with the discus in hand. His appearance is compared to a world-ending force and a comet, conveying that he seems prepared to destroy or burn everything—an intense moment of divine fury within the battlefield context.
