Kaurava–Pāṇḍava Readiness
द्रोण उवाच न ते5स्ति विजयस्तावद् यावत् युद्धयाम्यहं रणे । ममाशु निधने राजन् यतस्व सह सोदरै:,द्रोणाचार्य बोले--राजन्! मैं जबतक समरभूमिमें युद्ध करूँगा, तबतक तुम्हारी विजय नहीं हो सकती। तुम अपने भाइयोंसहित ऐसा प्रयत्न करो, जिससे शीघ्र मेरी मृत्यु हो जाय
Droṇa uvāca: na te 'sti vijayas tāvad yāvat yuddhayāmy ahaṃ raṇe | mamāśu nidhane rājan yatāsva saha sodaraiḥ ||
Droṇa said: “O King, so long as I continue to fight on the battlefield, victory will not be yours. Therefore, together with your brothers, strive in such a way that my death may come swiftly.”
