भीष्म उवाच नैनं पश्यामि कौन्तेय यो मां युध्यन्तमाहवे । विजयेत पुमान् कश्रित् साक्षादपि शतक्रतु:,भीष्मने कहा--कुन्तीनन्दन! मैं ऐसे किसी वीरको नहीं देखता, जो संग्रामभूमिमें युद्ध करते समय मुझे पराजित कर सके। युद्धकालमें कोई पुरुष, साक्षात् इन्द्र ही क्यों न हो, मुझे परास्त नहीं कर सकता
bhīṣma uvāca
nainaṃ paśyāmi kaunteya yo māṃ yudhyantam āhave |
vijayet pumān kaścit sākṣād api śatakratuḥ ||
Bhishma said: “O son of Kunti, I do not see any man who could defeat me while I am fighting on the battlefield. In the time of war, no person can overcome me—not even Śatakratu (Indra) himself, were he to stand before me.”
