Therefore, at all times remember Me, and also fight. With your mind and understanding offered to Me, you will, without doubt, attain Me. In the ethical setting of the Mahābhārata’s battlefield, the instruction joins unwavering inner devotion with steadfast performance of one’s duty, so that action is purified by remembrance rather than abandoned out of fear or confusion.

Educational Q&A

Unbroken remembrance of the Divine should accompany, not replace, one’s rightful duty. By dedicating mind and intellect to Kṛṣṇa, action becomes yoga, and the practitioner attains the Supreme without doubt.

On the Kurukṣetra battlefield, Kṛṣṇa instructs the hesitant Arjuna to maintain constant God-remembrance while still engaging in the battle required by his kṣatriya-dharma, assuring him of spiritual attainment through dedicated action.
