कथितो नारदेनासि पूर्वर्षिरमितद्धुते । वासुदेवसहायस्त्वं महत् कर्म करिष्यसि
kathito nāradenāsi pūrvarṣir amitaddhute | vāsudeva-sahāyas tvaṃ mahat karma kariṣyasi
Sañjaya said: “O you of immeasurable splendor, the ancient sage Nārada has already spoken of you before. With Vāsudeva as your ally, you will accomplish a great deed.”

Great undertakings become possible when one’s effort aligns with dharma and is supported by wise counsel and divine guidance; the verse highlights confidence grounded in righteous action and the sustaining presence of Vāsudeva.
Sañjaya reassures the addressed hero that earlier seers—specifically Nārada—had already foretold his significance, and that with Kṛṣṇa (Vāsudeva) as his ally he is destined to accomplish a major, decisive act within the war context.
