Shloka 65

निविष्टान्‌ पाण्डवांश्वैव प्रीयमाणान्‌ महारथान्‌ । भीष्मस्य पतने हृष्टानुपगम्य महाबल:,पाण्डव महारथी भीष्मके गिर जानेसे बहुत प्रसन्न थे और हर्षमें भरकर विश्राम कर रहे थे। उस समय महाबली भगवान्‌ श्रीकृष्ण यथासमय उनके पास पहुँचकर धर्मपुत्र युधिष्ठिरसे इस प्रकार बोले--“कुरुनन्दन! सौभाग्यकी बात है कि तुम जीत रहे हो। यह भी भाग्यकी ही बात है कि भीष्म रथसे गिरा दिये गये

niviṣṭān pāṇḍavāṃś caiva prīyamāṇān mahārathān | bhīṣmasya patane hṛṣṭān upagamya mahābalaḥ ||

Sañjaya said: Seeing the Pāṇḍava great chariot-warriors seated at ease, pleased and rejoicing at Bhīṣma’s fall, the mighty one approached them at the proper time. The scene underscores how even in a righteous war, victory brings complex emotions—relief and joy at a decisive turn, yet shadowed by the gravity of an elder’s downfall and the continuing demands of dharma in conduct and restraint.
