Sañjaya said: Duryodhana, your son, duly honored the physicians as was fitting and then dismissed them. Thereafter, the various kings—lords of many realms—were struck with astonishment (at what they had witnessed around Bhīṣma’s condition and the unfolding events on the battlefield).

Even amid war, proper conduct (yathārhataḥ) and respect toward those who serve—here, physicians—remains a mark of royal discipline and dharma; the scene also highlights how extraordinary events in battle can overwhelm even seasoned rulers with vismaya (astonishment).
Sañjaya reports that Duryodhana respectfully honors the physicians attending the situation around Bhīṣma and then sends them away; afterward, the assembled kings from many realms are left amazed by what has transpired.
