शयनस्यानुरूपं वै शीघ्र वीर प्रयच्छ मे । त्वं हि पार्थ समर्थो वै श्रेष्ठ: सर्वधनुष्मताम्
śayanasyānurūpaṃ vai śīghra vīra prayaccha me | tvaṃ hi pārtha samartho vai śreṣṭhaḥ sarvadhanuṣmatām ||
Sañjaya said: “Quickly, O hero, grant me a resting place befitting my condition. For you, O Pārtha, are truly capable—indeed the foremost among all who bear the bow.”

The verse underscores fitness and propriety (anurūpa) in responding to a request, and it highlights the ethical expectation that the most capable person (śreṣṭha, samartha) should act promptly and responsibly when called upon.
Sañjaya addresses Arjuna (Pārtha), urging him to quickly provide an appropriate place for rest, while praising him as the foremost among all archers—an appeal that combines urgency with recognition of Arjuna’s exceptional competence.
