विनिवृत्तान् कुरून् दृष्टवा पाण्डवा5पि स्वसैनिकान् । दूतैः शीघ्राश्वसंयुक्तै:ः समन््तात् पर्यवारयन्,कौरवोंको युद्धसे लौटते देख पाण्डवोंने भी शीघ्रगामी अश्वोंपर चढ़े हुए दूतोंद्वारा सब ओर आदेश भेजकर अपने सैनिकोंका भी युद्ध बंद करा दिया
vinivṛttān kurūn dṛṣṭvā pāṇḍavā api svasainikān | dūtaiḥ śīghrāśvasaṃyuktaiḥ samantāt paryavārayan ||
Sañjaya said: Seeing the Kuru warriors withdraw from the fight, the Pāṇḍavas too, by dispatching messengers mounted on swift horses in every direction, ordered their own troops to cease the battle. The moment underscores a restraint in warfare: when one side disengages, the other recognizes the ethical boundary and halts, preventing needless slaughter.
