Measurements and Description of Śākadvīpa

परस्परेण द्विगुणा: सर्वे द्वीपा नराधिप । पर्वताश्न महाराज समुद्रै: परिवारिता:,महाराज! इन समुद्रोंसे घिरे हुए सभी द्वीप और पर्वत उत्तरोत्तर दुगुने विस्तारवाले हैं

paraspareṇa dviguṇāḥ sarve dvīpā narādhipa | parvatāś ca mahārāja samudraiḥ parivāritāḥ ||

Sañjaya said: O lord of men, O great king, all the islands are each successively twice as extensive as the previous, and the mountains too—each encircled by the surrounding seas. The description underscores an ordered, measurable cosmos, where creation is structured and bounded, inviting the listener to reflect on proportion, limits, and the vastness within which human conflict unfolds.
