Sañjaya said: On that tenth day, when Bhīṣma and Arjuna met in battle, a ceaseless and exceedingly dreadful destruction of warriors unfolded—an unbroken slaughter in the very press of combat, showing how war, once fully engaged, consumes lives without restraint.
