सा च सर्वनरेन्द्राणां चन्द्रार्कसदृशी प्रभा । वीराज़दकिरीटेषु निष्प्रभा समपद्यत,समस्त राजाओंकी चन्द्रमा और सूर्यके समान प्रकाशित होनेवाली प्रभा वीरोंके अंगद और किरीटोंके सामने अत्यन्त फीकी पड़ गयी
sā ca sarva-narendrāṇāṃ candrārka-sadṛśī prabhā | vīrājad-akirīṭeṣu niṣprabhā samapadyata ||
Sanjaya said: The radiance of all the kings—shining like the moon and the sun—was, in the presence of the heroes’ armlets and crowns, reduced to a dull glow, as though it had lost its brilliance. The scene underscores how, in war, worldly splendor is measured against martial prowess and the visible signs of valor.
