भीष्मपर्व — अध्याय ११०: पार्थभीमयोः प्रहारः तथा भीष्माभिमुखं संग्रामविस्तारः
Arjuna and Bhima’s pressure; escalation toward Bhishma
भवन्तं समरे वीर विषहेम कथं वयम् । न हि ते सूक्ष्ममप्यस्ति रन्ध्रं कुरूपितामह,“वीर! समरभूमिमें हमलोग आपका वेग कैसे सह सकते हैं? कुरुकुलके वृद्ध पितामह! आपमें कोई छोटा-सा भी छिद्र (दोष) नहीं दृष्टिगोचर होता है
bhavantaṃ samare vīra viṣahema kathaṃ vayam | na hi te sūkṣmam apy asti randhraṃ kurūpitāmaha ||
Sanjaya said: “O hero, how could we possibly endure you in battle? O grandsire of the Kuru line, in you there is not even the slightest opening—no flaw or vulnerable point can be seen.”
संजय उवाच
The verse highlights the ideal of a warrior-leader whose excellence leaves no ‘randhra’—no discernible weakness—suggesting that true strength includes integrity, mastery, and steadfastness in one’s dharma.
Sanjaya, describing the battlefield situation, addresses Bhishma with reverence and amazement, declaring that the opposing side cannot withstand his might and that no vulnerable point is visible in him.
