भीष्मपर्व — अध्याय ११०: पार्थभीमयोः प्रहारः तथा भीष्माभिमुखं संग्रामविस्तारः
Arjuna and Bhima’s pressure; escalation toward Bhishma
स्वागतं धर्मपुत्राय भीमाय यमयोस्तथा । कि वा कार्य करोम्यद्य युष्माकं प्रीतिवर्धनम्
svāgataṁ dharmaputrāya bhīmāya yamayos tathā | ki vā kāryaṁ karomy adya yuṣmākaṁ prītivardhanam ||
Sañjaya said: “Welcome to Dharmaputra, to Bhīma, and likewise to the twin sons of Yama. What service shall I perform today that may increase your satisfaction?”
संजय उवाच
The verse highlights dharmic conduct through respectful welcome and readiness to serve: true nobility is shown by honoring the righteous and seeking actions that increase harmony and goodwill.
Sañjaya addresses the Pāṇḍavas—Yudhiṣṭhira (Dharmaputra), Bhīma, and the twins—offering them a formal welcome and asking what he can do to please them, signaling deference and a desire to support them in the unfolding war context.
