Sanjaya said: “When questioned by you in particular, he is indeed fit to speak the truth. Therefore let us all go there together to question the grandsire of the Kurus. Come, O Bharata—let us approach Bhishma, the son of Shantanu, and seek from him counsel that is truly beneficial; he will give you guidance by which we may face the enemy in war.”

The verse emphasizes seeking truthful, beneficial counsel from a respected elder when facing grave decisions—especially in war—highlighting the ethical value of truth (satya) and prudent consultation.
Sanjaya proposes that they go together to Bhishma, the Kuru grandsire, because Bhishma—when specifically questioned—will speak the truth and provide effective, welfare-oriented guidance for confronting the enemy.
