भीमसेनस्य बहुमहारथसंयुगः

Bhīmasena’s Engagement with Multiple Mahārathas

(अभवत््‌ परमप्रीतो ज्ञात्वा पार्थस्य विक्रमम्‌ ।) न किंचिदुक्त्वा सक्रोध आरुरोह रथं पुन: । महामना अर्जुनका यह वचन सुनकर उनके पराक्रमको जानते हुए भगवान्‌ श्रीकृष्ण मन-ही-मन अत्यन्त प्रसन्न हुए और ऊपरसे कुछ भी न बोलकर पुनः क्रोधपूर्वक ही रथपर जा बैठे

abhavat paramaprīto jñātvā pārthasya vikramam | na kiñcid uktvā sa-krodha ārurōha rathaṃ punaḥ |

Sanjaya said: Knowing the might of Partha, Krishna became inwardly supremely pleased. Yet, without saying anything aloud, he again mounted the chariot, still outwardly bearing the force of anger—an anger directed toward the crisis of dharma on the battlefield rather than toward Arjuna himself.
