निशम्य सर्वभूतानि समकम्पन्त भारत | अमोघा हापतन् बाणा: पितुस्ते भरतर्षभ,उनके धनुषकी प्रत्यंचाकी टंकारथ्वनि वज्की गड़गड़ाहटके समान जान पड़ती थी। भारत! उसे सुनकर समस्त प्राणी काँप उठते थे। भरतश्रेष्ठ] आपके ताऊ भीष्मके बाण कभी खाली नहीं जाते थे
sañjaya uvāca |
niśamya sarvabhūtāni samakampanta bhārata |
amoghāḥ pāpatan bāṇāḥ pitus te bharatarṣabha ||
Sanjaya said: “O Bharata, on hearing it all creatures trembled. O bull among the Bharatas, the arrows shot forth by your grandsire never fell in vain.”
संजय उवाच

Sanjaya reports to Dhritarashtra that the sound and impact of Bhishma’s warfare causes universal trembling, and that Bhishma’s arrows are unfailing—emphasizing his dominance on the battlefield.
