Nakula’s Declaration and the Uñchavṛtti Brāhmaṇa’s Superior Merit (Āśvamedhika Parva, Adhyāya 92)

Vaiśampāyana said: “Whatever wealth exists in the three worlds—gold or any other treasure—let it come here of its own accord.” The line conveys a sweeping summons of resources, reflecting the epic’s sense that righteous royal undertakings can command vast support, while also hinting at the ethical tension between abundance sought for public-sacral purposes and the allure of limitless acquisition.
