वर्षिष्यतीह वा देवो न वा वर्ष भविष्यति । “इन्द्रदेव यहाँ वर्षा करें अथवा यहाँ वर्षा न हो, इसकी मुझे परवा नहीं है, मेरे इस यज्ञको किसी तरह व्यर्थ नहीं किया जा सकता
varṣiṣyatīha vā devo na vā varṣa bhaviṣyati |
Vaiśampāyana said: “Whether the god (Indra) sends rain here or whether rain does not come at all, I do not care. This sacrifice of mine cannot be rendered futile by any means.”
