Kṛṣṇasya Dvārakā-praveśaḥ — Krishna’s Return to Dvārakā and the Raivataka Festival
एवं महात्मना तेन त्रीललॉकान् जनमेजय । परिक्रम्याह्वते दिव्ये ततस्ते मणिकुण्डले,जनमेजय! इस प्रकार महात्मा उत्तंकने तीनों लोकोंमें घूमकर वे मणिमय दिव्य कुण्डल प्राप्त किये थे
evaṁ mahātmanā tena trīl lokān janamejaya | parikramyāhvate divye tato ’ste maṇikuṇḍale ||
Thus, O Janamejaya, that great-souled one (Uttaṅka), having traversed the three worlds, obtained those divine, jewel-made earrings. The episode underscores the power of steadfast resolve and disciplined effort: extraordinary aims are reached not by haste, but by perseverance guided by dharma.
अश्व उवाच
The verse highlights disciplined perseverance aligned with dharma: a noble seeker, undeterred by vast obstacles, can attain even ‘divine’ goals through steadfast effort and integrity.
The speaker (the Horse) tells King Janamejaya that Uttaṅka, after journeying through the three worlds, succeeded in obtaining the divine jewel earrings (maṇikuṇḍalas), completing a demanding quest.
