Brahma-vidyā: Satya–Tapas and the Enumeration of Tattvas
Arjuna–Vāsudeva framed dialogue
yo vidvān sahasaṃvāsaṃ vivāsaṃ caiva paśyati | tathaivaikatva-nānātve sa duḥkhāt parimucyate ||
Vāyu said: The wise person who truly perceives both association and separation—and likewise understands unity and diversity as they really are—becomes freed from sorrow. Ethically, the verse points to steadiness of insight: by seeing life’s unions and partings, and the play of oneness and multiplicity, without confusion or clinging, one transcends grief.
